“Mission: Space Station” Interactive

The Putnam Museum, located in Davenport, Iowa, opened a new 10,000-square-foot STEM Learning Center – featuring over 45 interactive, hands-on experiences that reveal how things work and what inspires innovation. In the Aerospace Exhibit, Silver Oaks developed a multi-user, touch-table interactive that introduces visitors to the ideas involved in sending modules up to the International Space Station with rockets. Visitors select from four modules and determine the astronaut best suited to lead the mission based on their education and experience. Visitors must also load the correct amount of fuel weight relative to the overall weight in order to launch the rocket successfully to the space station. Hot spots feature text descriptions and breathtaking images from space missions.
