Medal of Honor Museum

Silver Oaks worked with M. Catton & Co. and the Medal of Honor Society to produce a series of videos to tell the stories of recent Congressional Medal of Honor recipients. While each of these heroes received the same honor, we were able to give each of these compelling stories a unique treatment.

Michael Murphy - Medal of Honor

For this video, Silver Oaks located files from the national archives and the defense visual information distribution service. Our video team combined these assets with voiceover, music and sound effects for a moving story you won’t soon forget.

Bennie Adkins - Medal of Honor

Medal of Honor recipient Bennie Adkins penned a book of his experience, so making his book the centerpiece of his video was a natural choice. We shot video of the book in our studio and added voiceover of someone whose life was personally impacted by Adkins’ bravery, existing footage and related sound effects to help tell the story.

Jason Dunham - Medal of Honor

Sometimes a story is so moving that no additional words are necessary, and this was the case for the story of Medal of Honor recipient Jason Dunham. We chose to produce Dunham’s video without a voiceover, using only existing interviews and soundbites that the team found in the archives. The quality of the located video was all SD or lower quality, so our designers created graphics to help supplement the look.
