“At the Office” Exhibit Multimedia

The Truman Presidential Library and Museum, in Independence, Missouri, developed an exhibit that specifically focuses on President Truman’s personal role in the library – from the building’s construction, to his day-to-day life managing post-presidential duties, to interacting with visitors. Silver Oaks produced three multimedia pieces for the “At the Office” exhibit, which is physically located just outside President Truman’s library office.

At the Office Interactive

“At the Office” is a touchscreen interactive that is the cornerstone of the exhibit. When looking through a glass wall of the actual office, visitors can use this custom 360-degree interface to virtually tour his office and select a series of hotspots to learn the stories behind the items that adorn the office walls and President Truman’s desk.

Building on a Principle

“Building on a Principle” is a touchscreen interactive that is a timeline of the library’s construction process. Visitors can scroll through the primary timeline navigation from 1950-1982, or they can use the secondary interface and select a photo to get details on the key events from that year, plus view photos, videos and audio clips.

Visitor’s Video

“Visitors’ Video” is a 5-minute looping video presentation that showcases a photo/video montage of the diverse array of guests President Truman greeted at the library.
